Where the pace is slow and sun feels thick.

Slurpees everyday, ice cream every night.

Thunderstorms on the porch. The smell of the rain on the asphalt..

Bike rides down hills. Never with a helmet.

Catching gentle fireflies.

Talking into the box fan.

These are some of my most treasured summertime memories growing up in suburban New Jersey.

The photos below are from a day of beaching and shooting with Stefany. That day, the first sandy excursion of the season on a tranquil Tuesday, reminded me of the calmness and joy of the season. For a period of time, summer felt much more unsettled, with a loud buzzy energy – always something going on, hot, and so so sticky (but definitely fun, for sure) – Lately, I find myself going back to the quieter vibes and plan to savor it all, slowly.  😌 – Naomi
