It’s officially undeniably thankfully caftan season.

Want to know what is so great about caftans? The breeze. Letting all that air flow through, not having tight waistbands and sleeves and seams pinching you, making you stickier by the minute.

Next great thing about caftans: uninterrupted pattern storytelling. Here is a canvas to lay it ALL out there. Whether its a head to toe embroidered motif, yards of colorful crazy print or just full on flowy wings of fabric, these frocks for sure make a statement, but still keep it chill. Science.

IMG_5849 copy 3One fine pre-summer day, Stefany and I hightailed down to Rockaway Beach for tacos, sandtime and some shooting in between. After the most amazing fish tacos at Tacoway Beach (really, they were incredible) we explored a bit in this peachy pink number.

All caftans have a little sumthin sumthin that make them special, for this one, it’s the flattering fit.

There is a tiny elastic band inside (won’t make you sticky 😉) that gives definition at the waist.

And a tripped out tree, flower and cloud patchwork print, for blending into the landscape.

Pair with a big straw hat, gladiator sandals and bikini and you’re good. to. go.
